While her mother is no stranger to this prestigious honor, Blue Ivy’s incredible that her nine-year-old daughter has won her first (but probably not last) gong. Blue, mom Beyoncé, and WizKid received the Grammy for Best Music Video for “Brown Skin Girl,” released under Beyonce’s Black is King visual album. People thought it was amazing that Blue already had an internationally recognized award before she was even about to start high school.

When the nominations were announced a few months ago, Blue Ivy also became the youngest person to make the list of nominees, and this isn’t the first time the little girl has won an award for her participation in the famous song. She and her mother, along with Saint JHN and WizKid, notably received the Soul Train Award for the hit track last month. They also won Best Duo and Best Group or Collaboration trophies at the NCAAP Image Awards in February.
In addition, Blue Ivy landed her first-ever “number one” when “Brown Skin Girl” topped the prestigious Billboard Hot 100 like other artists such as Jay Z, her mother, Kanye, and more. And while she’s usually discreet about her family, Beyoncé confided last November that she’s raising her toddlers to be educated about what’s going on in the world. Speaking about her twins Rumi and Sir, the star said, “I felt it was important to raise and praise our boys and make sure they grew up with enough movies, children’s books, and music that fostered emotional intelligence, self-worth, and our rich history.
